Terms of Use for "meetChildfree"

1. Overview and Acceptance

meetChildfree ("meetChildfree," "we," "us," or "our") operates an online dating platform designed for adults (the "Service" or "Platform"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will post the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date and, where legally required, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

  • By using the Platform, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 years of age, and if we become aware that such information has been provided, we will take steps to delete it.
  • You must have legal capacity to enter a binding contract.
  • You are not prohibited by law from using online dating services.
  • You have not been convicted of, or pled no contest to, a felony or indictable offense (or comparable serious crime), any sex offense, or any offense involving violence or threats of violence.
  • You are not required to register as a sex offender with any governmental registry.
  • You have not previously been removed or banned from our Platform unless we have given written permission to rejoin.
  • You will maintain only one account.

If you cease to meet these requirements at any time, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access for any breach of this Section.

3. Your Account and Security

You are responsible for all activity on your account. Keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. Maintain accurate, current information in your account settings.

4. Community Standards and Prohibited Conduct

The Platform is a community for respectful, lawful, and authentic interactions. You agree not to:

  • Engage in unlawful activity or promote illegal acts.
  • Post content that is defamatory, harassing, hateful, threatening, obscene, or otherwise harmful.
  • Post content that infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of third parties.
  • Engage in commercial advertising, solicitation, escort services, or prostitution-related activities.
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or age.
  • Solicit money, gifts, or items of value from other users.
  • Distribute malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, "scrape," "crawl," or otherwise interfere with the Platform's operation.
  • Collect, publish, or share others' personal information without consent.

We may remove content, restrict features, and/or suspend or terminate accounts for violations or where we believe action is necessary to protect users or the Platform.

5. User Content and License

You are responsible for everything you post or transmit on the Platform, including photos, videos, written bios, private messages, and profile fields (e.g., name, age, gender, location, height, weight, drinking habits, relationship preferences, children status, finances, education, and other attributes) ("User Content"). Certain profile fields are optional and provided by you at your discretion.

By posting User Content, you grant meetChildfree a worldwide, transferable, sublicensable, royalty‑free license to host, store, reproduce, adapt, publish, display, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content for operating, improving, securing, and promoting the Service. We will not disclose your personal contact details in promotional uses without consent. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to post your User Content and to grant this license.

6. Moderation; Reporting; Repeat Infringers

We may, but are not obligated to, monitor, review, or remove content or accounts at our discretion. Please use our in‑product Report and Block features to alert us to violations or safety concerns. We may terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe third‑party rights or repeatedly violate these Terms.

7. Safety Disclosures; No Background Checks

We do not conduct criminal or identity verification checks on users and make no guarantees about any user's identity, intentions, or conduct. Use caution when interacting with others. Review our Online Dating Safety Tips and use good judgment when choosing to communicate off‑platform or meet in person.

8. Intellectual Property; Our Rights

The Platform and all content we provide (including trademarks, logos, UI, and code) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by law. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to access and use the Platform for its intended personal purposes. We reserve all other rights.

9. Third‑Party Services and Links

The Platform may reference or link to third‑party sites, tools, or services. We are not responsible for third‑party content, terms, or practices, and your use of them is at your own risk and governed by those third parties' terms and policies.

10. Feedback

If you submit ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty‑free license to use them without any obligation or compensation.

11. Export Controls and Sanctions

You represent that you are not located in, under the control of, or a national or resident of any country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions or embargoes, and that you are not on any government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree to comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws.

12. International Data Transfers

As an international service, your personal data may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, and other jurisdictions where we or our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to such international transfers of your information. If required by applicable law, we will take steps intended to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions where it is processed.

13. Electronic Communications Consent

By using the Service, you consent to receive electronic communications from us, including:

  • Account notifications and security alerts;
  • Service updates and feature announcements;
  • Marketing communications (which you may opt out of);
  • Legal notices and policy updates.

14. Changes to the Service

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Platform at any time, with or without notice, including features that may impact how you use the Service.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

DISCLAIMER: THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We specifically disclaim any warranties that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
  • The Service will meet your specific requirements;
  • Any defects or errors will be corrected;
  • User information is accurate or reliable;
  • The Service is free from viruses or harmful components.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE PLATFORM. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE PLATFORM SHALL NOT EXCEED USD $50.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless meetChildfree and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Platform; (b) your User Content; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any rights of another person.

18. Takedown Requests (Copyright/Content)

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights or violates law, please contact us with: your name and contact details; a description of the content; its location (URL or profile details); the basis of your claim; and a statement that your notice is accurate. We may share this notice with the user who posted the content.

19. Governing Law; Informal Resolution; Arbitration; No Class Actions

Governing Law. These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or the Platform shall be governed by and construed under the domestic laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict‑of‑laws rules, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws apply and provide otherwise. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Informal Process First. Before commencing arbitration, both parties agree to attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute by written notice and discussions for 60 days.

Binding Arbitration. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be settled by final and binding arbitration conducted exclusively in Tel Aviv, Israel, before a mutually agreed arbitrator, under procedures designed to provide a fair and efficient process. Either party may instead bring an eligible individual claim in small claims court if permitted by law.

No Class or Representative Actions. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, disputes shall be resolved only in an individual capacity and not as part of any class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may award relief only in favor of the individual party seeking relief and only to the extent necessary to provide such relief.

Arbitrability and Enforcement. Except for small claims eligibility, any issues relating to the scope, enforceability, or interpretation of this Section may be decided by the arbitrator or, if required, by a court of competent jurisdiction in Tel Aviv, Israel, subject to applicable local laws that may grant additional consumer rights.

20. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, including for violation of these Terms or where we believe it is necessary to protect users or the Platform.

21. Force Majeure

We will not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, internet or utility failures, or governmental actions.

22. Assumption of Risk

USER RISK: You acknowledge and assume all risks associated with using an online dating service, including but not limited to risks of meeting strangers, sharing personal information, and engaging in offline activities.

You understand that:

  • Online interactions carry inherent risks;
  • We cannot guarantee the safety of offline meetings;
  • You are solely responsible for your personal safety;
  • We are not liable for harm resulting from user interactions;
  • You should exercise caution and good judgment at all times.

23. Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms without your consent. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent.

24. Miscellaneous

  • Severability: If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force, and an enforceable term will be substituted that most closely reflects the intent.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement regarding the Platform and supersede prior agreements.
  • Headings: Headings are for convenience only.
